Day 259 - Project365

Getting older is a load of crap! who says with age comes wisdom. There is so much shit I still don't know! I never feel older on my birthday. So what that its my 29th. I feel the same now as I felt on my 25th. I'm comfortable with my age and my grey hairs. I suppose that I do however, feel a bit different now then I did on my 10th birthday. So I guess things can change over time!!

After shopping at the PX for evening ware for Joyce we headed over to the driving range for some good old fashioned fun. We got 4 buckets of balls and a rental set of clubs and pounded some golf balls past the end of the driving range. I've always been strangely good at knocking the balls 300+ yards. I just can't play the other 95% of the game of golf very well!

Oddly enough, during our driving session I managed to snap a club head clean off, sending it down the range at least 100 yards! I considered it a fluke since I know I'm no where near as strong as it would have appeared necessary to break a club head. I also know for a fact that I didn't hit the mat before the ball so the breaking was actually the club just not able to handle the stress of my massive swing!

Ironically, not 10 minutes after I went and got a replacement club did cory snap the replacement. I guess we just are too much for the standard clubs!

After the 4 buckets of balls we headed back to cory's where I am currently writing this blog. I had a snack of Ramon and Guinness before tonights Sushi and beer extravaganza! Happy Birthday to me… Later!! - Michael
